PRAYER
ADVOCATES

“The greatest thing anyone can do for God and man is pray. It is not the only thing; but it is the chief thing. The great people of the earth today are the people who pray. I do not mean those who talk about prayer; not those who can explain about prayer; but I mean those people who take time and pray”
― S.D. Gordon

WHAT IS A PRAYER ADVOCATE?

FAI Prayer Advocates are those who comprehend and appropriate the power of prayer. They are not of those who, when faced with impossible situations, feel helpless but rather empowered to approach the One who loves to work in impossible situations. The vocabulary of an Advocate does not include the phrase, “the least we can do is pray.” They recognize the privilege that has been given to them to speak to the One who controls all things and they boldly approach the throne of grace with confidence.

Prayer Advocates are FAI supporters who commit to pray for the specific needs of missionaries on the field. They dedicate specific time to personal prayer and prayer with others for the needs of FAI. Prayer Advocates also actively pursue conversations with others about the ministry of FAI. If you are able pray one hour each week and talk to others about the work that God is doing in the Nations, we would love to enlist you for service. On-line training courses and regional (live) training will be provided to equip you to serve on the Homefront.
